Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO compa les have been given 009,500 under the Section 8 grants from the Department of Transport.

The Dagenham Storage Company received a £383,000 grant to help with new sidings, a container crane and other loading and unloading equipment at its 40-acre site, which has over 0.5m sqft of warehousing.

Until now, the company's business had gone entirely by road, despite its positioning alongside the London-Tilbury railway line.

The new terminal, which will handle containers and wagonload traffic, will enable the bulk of the company's longer distance traffic to be transferred to rail. When the terminal reaches full capacity, nearly 12,000 lorry journeys a year will be avoided.

The other firm to benefit from the Section 8 grant was Duncan Transrail, jointly owned by the Associated Newspapers Group and Frederick J. Abbott Ltd. The £226,500 grant will go towards a rail-connected warehouse in Saldord for the storage and distribution of newsprint, and is located within the Salford Enterprise Zone.

The facilities covered by the grant included the renovation of sidings, unloading areas and specialised handling equipment.
