Whitehaven have abandoned plans for using the old Grand Hotel site at Whitehaven for a new office block, according to the committee minutes before the Town Council last week. A report rexcaled that, subject to a decision by the directors of C.M.S., it was not proposed to proceed with the redevelopment of the site as approved in 1961. New proposals being considered were for using the site as a bus service and washing bay and also an overnight bus stand.
