CHESHIRE-BASED Boughey Distribution has ordered 60 Euro-4 MAN TGAs following fuel trials with four makes of truck. MD Keith Boughey says: 'Our initial tests included Scania, Oaf, Volvo and MAN trucks; this was narrowed down to Volvo and MAN. We then ran longer tests for around three months where the focus was Mainly on fuel efficiency."
All 60 are TGA 26.444BLS Sas with the XXL cab and MANS TipMatic automated gearbox.
They relyon EGR to meet Euro-4 and Boughey sees this as another clerics: 'We feel that no AdBlue is just a simpler solution."
MAN telematics will be fitted to the newvehicles and to Boughey's eidsting trucks, allowing fleetwide telematics management.
