Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QOur vehicles are fitted with top-speed limiters which are set at 100km/h (62.14 mph). Surely this is wrong. We have argued with the supplier but he says it doesn't really matter.

PW, Glasgow

AThe speed set is your choice. Technically, if the tachograph was extremely accurate then it is wrong. but the supplier is probably taking into account the tolerances stated in EEC Regulations 3821/85 which allow the tachograph to have a tolerance of 6km/h.
