LISTS of applications that have been made by Bolton and Manchester Corporations, the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd., the Lancashire United Transport and Power Co., Ltd., Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., Oldham, Salford and Wigan Corporations, etc., are published in the latest gazette, and dates when they are to be heard will be announced in a later issue. To the list is appended a separate group of applications for new services, a large number of these being stage services applied for by independent and by associated companies.

Eastern.

IN the latest gazette details are, given of a considerable number of applications for new services, an interesting case being that of an application by Mr. John Hull, of Cheshunt, for the licensing of a new group of excursions at inclusive return fares, including trips to all London theatres.

The gazette announces applications next to be heard, but does not give the dates of subsequent sittings. Southern.

REFERENCE has been made in pre vious issues to the sitting arranged by the Commissioners to be held in Reading next week. The object is to devote most of the time to clearing oR remaining excursion and tour licences.

South Eastern.

APPLICATIONS for hearing at this week's London sitting have only just been published. They include services of all kinds. The applications of Mr. W. D. Thorpe, of Windsor, in respect of stage services between Windsor Castle and Virginia Water, are opposed by London General Country Services, Ltd.

Metropolitan.

THE Commissioner has prepared his list for next week's London sitting. It includes only express services, excursions and tours.
