Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

* WRM has boosted its turnover by E6m this week by adding Bewick Transportation to its growing portfolio of paper distribution companies.

The Om acquisition, which is WRM's second purchase within two weeks, gives WRM an extra 120 staff, 85 tractive units and depots at Milnthorpe and Kendal in Cumbria and Warn in Greater Manchester.

Bewick's managing director Dennis Smith, who founded the company 27 years ago, will stay. He will initially run it in conjunction with WRMis other paper carrier, Scottishbased AM Transport. WRM director David Winkworth says jobs are safe and a full merger between the two companies might be considered in future.

The purchase, which was funded through venture capital company European Acquisition Capital, follows last week's takeover of 100-vehicle fresh food operator Henley Transport.

The acquisition of the Kent company for around £9m and the Bewick purchase gives WRM five distribution companies in the fresh produce, paper and non-food retail markets. Since its start in January 1994 the founders, ex-Hays Distribution directors David Winkworth, Geoff Regan and Brian Marr, have also bought Hertfordshire-based TDP, AM Transport and Wood Distribution in Kent.
