ALL VEHICLES in Great Britain are now recorded on du computer at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Centre in Swan. sea, according to the Department of Transport.
The figures show that of 17.8m licensed vehicles on Britain': roads, 1.6m are registered as general goods vehicles, though thi: figure includes several categories not associated with roac haulage or psv work. As at December 31, 1978, there were 359,000 registered good vehicles of greater than three tons unladen weight, of which th, vast majority, 313,000, were registered in England. Of 109,00 psvs, 72,000 had more than eight seats.
