Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Although I am no advocate of nationalisation, I would regard any attempt by the Government to dismember the National Freight Corporation as a wanton act of political dogma. The corporation evolved from the unsaleable rump of British Road Services and if it could not find buyers in 1953-56 it would be unlikely to do so today. By all means allow the staff and public to buy shares, but do not destroy loyal workers' confidence and encourage highly skilled men to leave the industry. State and privately owned companies work well together and will continue to do so. The NEC has much to contribute to the good of road haulage. Let sleeping dogma lie.
