Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HAD a distinct déjà vu sensaon when I read the item eaded "Faithful but gormless" 7,M, May 18) by the Hawk. inly the previous day I had een reminiscing about a )uring holiday my family and I lade 29 years ago, in just such Jowett Bradford van.

My experience with the 'massive unstallable flywheeltas when it became loose on its pigot somewhere near Heidelerg and developed a most larming knock, An enthusiastic illage blacksmith helped me to emove the engine and fly/heel. The latter he heated up in us forge and refitted with the id of a sledge hammer and iardwood block; I doubt if it

ever came loose again.

As regards looking as English as Yorkshire pudding, it always attracted curious looks in Germany and then one day, on returning to the van after sightseeing in Cologne Cathedral, 1 found a dozen or more natives standing round it arguing. It transpired that its shape and colour, bottle green with black wings, was similar to pre-war German police vans of sinister repute.

Perhaps they thought it was a pre-production model for the Gestapo for use in the UK in anticipation of a German victory!
