NEVILLE-Charrold Ltd of Mansfield is now producing specially designed access ladders which can be easily attached to aluminium or steel rigid and trailer bodies. The aim is to enable a driver to gain access at the front of the body without having to climb over wheels, mudguards etc, and to provide a means of alighting at the rear after sheeting, and thereby reduce the risk of accidents. The bottom section of the ladder folds away when not in use and the complete unit may be fitted to both the headboard and the tailboard and varies in length depending on the body height.
