• SPD, the Unilever warehouse and distribution company, is to distribute the full range of Martini and Rossi products to wine merchants and breweties in Lancashire, Yorkshire and North Wales.
The entire Martini and Rossi range, plus spirits, have been carried by SPD since July 1972 in London, the Home Counties, East Anglia and the Midlands. Annual throughput for delivery has exceeded 600,000 cases.
SPD operates a national distribution network comprising 46 depots and a fleet of more than 1100 vehicles. An individual stockholding and delivery system is devised for all new clients in order to satisfy their exact marketing needs.
All SPD depots are linked to a central computer that processes data for vehicle loading, stock control and detailed product performance for customer analysis.
