Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

P OOLLAPS cl ominic.perryfarbi.co.uk LLOYDS TSB APPEARS to be the biggest loser following the collapse of Cheshire firms D.TM Transport and DJM Logistics (UK), according to papers published at Companies House. The two firms one a transport company. the other a warehousing business went in to administration in May citing difficult trading conditions and overcapacity in the sector.

Administrators from Grant Thornton were appointed to both companies.

The bank is owed £5.7m by the two firms as a result of a mortgage and overdrafts. However, it may sec some return on this if the property owned by DJM Logistics (UK) raises the £3.4m expected by the administrators.

DJM Logistics (UK) owes £117,487 to trade creditors and £144,371 to HMRC; sister firm DJM Transport owes £209.422 to the trade and £238,020 to HMRC.

The exact deficiency of the two firms is hard to evaluate because of the £5.7m mortgage being listed on both statements.

Paul Airey, who runs marketing firm Piranha Solutions, is owed £2,300 and says he feels "hard done by".
