GRINHAM, technical director of the company, has been appointed deputy to Mr. Dick. Mr. Dick, who is 37, joined Standard as an apprentice in 1934 and was chosen in 12/5 as Sir John's personal assistant. tie joined the board in 1947 as assistant managing director and in 1951 became deputy managing director.
