Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SMALL COACH operators who have to pass a Certificate of Professional Competence can study at home or during rest hours with a new modular study pack published by the Road Transport Industry Training Board. The 400-page pack goes through the Royal Society of Arts syllabus for CPC for national psv operation and crews' road safety, technical standards and aspects of operation, regulation of road passenger services, business and financial management, and law.

The publication is divided into topics and includes a series of tests enabling the reader to check his own progress. The study pack is ideal for operators and owner-drivers who do not have time to attend regular set courses, and it also provides a useful quick reference volume for all operators and managers. It can be used in conjunction with an operator's own training schemes.

The pack is presented in a loose-leaf format so that it can be kept up to date by removing and adding new pages as the various requirements and regulations change.

Available from the RTITB at PO Box 96, Harrow, Middlesex, and priced £30 (£20 for operators registered with RTITB), the pack is a worthwhile investment for coach and bus operators of all sizes.
