Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEW regulations which govern the amount a person has to pay to recover property left on buses and coaches have been laid before Parliament by the Secretary of State for Transport.

The regulations, which came into operation on January 1, do not apply to London Transport which is covered by separate rules.

The main change is that a fixed lost property charge will be made for different types of articles. In the case of cash the bus operator can now charge 10 per cent of the amount left on the bus with a minimum of 50p and a maximum of £20.

The regulations became the Public Service Vehicles (lost property) Regulations 1978 and replace the Public Service Vehicle (Lost Property) 1934 Regulations.
