Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A Black Country haulier says he is on the verge of closing his 36-year-old business because of a spate of break-ins and vandalism.

The theft of a brand new Scania tractive unit is the latest blow to hit Frank Bowbotham, owner of Willentiall-based FM. Transport.

Although the vehicle, which cost £66,000, was recovered within 36 hours, it was so badly damaged that it took more than two weeks to repair.

'They just wrenched off the hydraulic pipes, arid the pump which drives the hydraulic crane was ruined, as was the hydraulic tank," he says.

Rowbotham, who mainly hauls building materials, says the theft fits in with a pattern of malicious attacks over the last four years which have included a break-in at his home.

He says: "There's too much aggro around at the moment. I'm 64 so I shall start winding down."
