Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A list of major sources of transport research information, including the scope of coverage, the availability of research referred to. and the cost of obtaining it, is contained in a 60-page booklet entitled Transportation Policy desearch published by the Transportation Association of America.

The booklet aims to stimulate interest in research which may affect national transport policies. It defines "gap" areas deserving immediate attention by sponsors and research workers.

In defining present shortcomings in transport research the TAA staff conducted a survey of academic personnel, independent research and consulting firms, government agencies and business concerns and asked respondents to list one or more national transport policy areas deserving of greater attention The TAA Policy Research Committee, on the basis of the survey recommendations, prepared a separate list of "Ten Most Wanted Transport Policy Research Projects".
