A THREE-DAY symposium on "Cost

efficiency in road transport management" is being held at the Hackwood Hotel, Bromley, Kent, from May 3 to 5, under the auspices of the Catford College of Commerce.

Supported by other lecturers, Mr. R. P. Block will undertake the major part of the instruction; as announced recently, he is concentrating on transport education since voluntarily relinquishing control of his own transport interests.

Cost control; economics of hiring, leasing and owning; driver selection and training; productivity bargaining—these are some of the topics to be dealt with.

A fee of £10 covers morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea and a special dinner on the Wednesday evening.

. Applications should be made to the Secretary, Catford College of Commerce, Plassey Road, London SE6.
