Bedford-based Short is :veloping a roll-up rtainsider system and a plugled version of its slidingor temperature-controlled 'dies.
Its roll-up curtainsider, lick is based on a Dutch sign, will come with a choice of manual, electrical or Short's own pneumatic raise/lower device.
A lever locking bar secures the bottom of the curtain to the side rave.
The plug-sider uses Ferroplast panelling, similar to that in Short's sliding-side body (seven of which have recently been built for Fyffes on Renault and Cargo rigid chassis).
Short has recently adopted West German-made Schmitz metal-lined panels for its insulated structures, and is the sole repairer in the UK.
