THE DEPARTMENT of Transport has issued a new guide to TIR operations. Called International Transport of Goods Under Customs Seal, it is an updated version of a previous publication issued in 1976.
DTp intends to issue the book free with all applications for TIR approval and other copies will be available from The Department of Transport, VSE Division, Room C19/15, 2 Marsham Street, London SW I P 3EB.
The guide deals with the best ways of getting vehicles and containers approved for TIR use.
