I N a written decision, the Minister of Transport has dismissed appeals by the Potteries Motor Traction Co., Ltd., against an excursions and tours grant to Berresfords Motors, Ltd., by the West Midland Traffic Commissioners. The application related to a group of excursions and tours starting from Meir, Broadway.
The Minister states that, like the Cornmissioners, he was not over-impressed by the evidence produced by the respondents but his inspector's analysis showed there was some weight which should be attached to it.
Various considerations, including P.M.T.'s earlier withdrawal of picking-up points in the eastern Potteries area, led the Minister to confirm the grant to the respondents.
