Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A DENNIS Teal chassis with pan technicon body will be shown for the first time in this country at Earls Court, on Stand 81. A Perkins P6 oil engine is used in conjunction with a Moss five-speed overdrive-top gearbox.

Originally built as an export passenger chassis, the wheelbase is 17 ft. 6 in. and the gross vehicle weight 81 tons.

Tubeless tyres will be fitted to three of the Thornycroft exhibits. The Swiftsurc 64--tonner has Firestone 9-22.5-in. (12-ply) tyres; the Trusty eight-wheeler has Dunlop 10-22.5-in. (12-ply) and the export Trident chassis, Goodyear 11-22.5-in. (12-ply).

M.P.T.A. ESSAY RESULTS

ESULTS have been announced in the 1956 essay competition of the Municipal Passenger Transport Association open to administrative and supervisory staffs and operating staffs. They are as follows:— Section 1, administrative staffs: first prize, ff. F. Hentsiey. Ashton-under-Lyne, for essay on meeting requirements with economy; second prize, J. E. Hilton. Bolton, essay on recruitment and training; third prize, H. Miller, Doncaster, essay on recruitment and training.

Section II, operating staffs: first prize, H. Si. Vincent Reechey, London Transport, essay on crnineSy: second prize, R, .1. Thorpe, Northanmton, essay on peak traffic; third prize, F. Holland, Salford. essay on alternatives to staggered hours.

EQUIPMENTFOR AUCTION

CONSEQUENT upon the purchase of the old-established business of the Grange Motor Co., Bradford, by A.B.C.
