BP SALES of automotive fuels are increasing and the company is prepared for any new upturn in demand for oil products generally.
This is in spite of an overall drop in demand of nearly 20 per cent since 1973.
Continued investment in marketing and distribution, the company says, will help it achieve readiness for an upturn in demand if it comes.
However, petrol for the private motorist was the only automotive fuel to reach a higher level in 1976 than 1973.

As far as LPG (liquef petroleum gas) is concern BP feels it is unlikely to bi viable proposition for rt transport.
If sufficient outlets ;• established, and a dema created, BP believes the C vemment will introduce ta: tion on the fuel which w effectively, bring it up to t same price as that of ordim fuel.
