Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Your 10-16 October edition contained an article on page 22 headed "Brake problems for AP", and the associated photo caption makes reference to AP.

While the body copy gives the full name of the offending company as AP Transport, we are seriously concerned that readers will infer a connection with the transport fleet of our company which, as you know, is universally referred to as AP.

Since such an inference would clearly be detrimental to us as the manufacturer of AP Lockheed brakes, I would like to make clear that AP Transport (Gwent) has no connection with Automotive Products or its AP Lockheed brake division.

F Chandley Group publicity manager, Automotive Products, Leamington Spa, Warks.
