• The refrigeration division of Petters Ltd., Hamble, a Hawker Siddeley company, has introduced a new range of low-cost refrigeration/heating units for automatically maintaining the temperatures of cargoes in insulated road vehicles. The equipment, to be known as the PT range, is self-contained, and has been specially designed for mounting over 'tilt cabs and is claimed to be economical to operate.

The new range. which will replace Petters PKW series of units, is at present available in two versions, PT 10 and PT 20. Both are powered by petrol/propane engines but the PT 20 has an additional electric motor drive for standby use. The units are designed to cool or heat automatically to maintain pre-set temperatures.
