Ov the 8m. people who went to Blackpool this year, 1.4m. travelled by coach, apart from the many who used stage-carriage services, said Mr. A, Bolton, chairman of the North Western Area of the Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association, at the 'area's annual dinner at Blackpool last Friday.
Mr. F. R. Ashmole, clerk to the North Western Licensing Authority, said that the task of administration was made easier because so many public service vehicle operators were members of the Association. He emphasized the skill of P.V.O.A. officials as negotiators.
