Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Your campaign on the revocation of vocational driving licences on medical grounds is strongly applauded. A system that can remove a person's ability to pursue his livelihood must both be fair and be seen to be fair.

The understandable feelings of isolation, frustration and injustice experienced by the victims of licence revocation could, we believe, be largely removed if appeals against loss or refusal of vocational driving licences were to be heard before the existing Department of Health Regional Medical Boards.

This would allow affected drivers to plead their case personally.
