Timber, steel, sacks, cartons, pipes, scrap, fruit crates—these and many other commodities are vulnerable to bad loading, and with higher speeds and better brakes on trucks the number of thrown loads and shot loads seems to be on the increase. And reliable drivers skilled in loading are harder than ever to find. To help operators to identify the dangers, problems and solutions applicable to their own traffic, CM next week publishes an illustrated feature on the safe methods of loading (and unloading) lorries.
