• Manchester has appointed its six nominees to serve on the SELNEC PTA. They are Aldermen D. J. Edwards, R A. Fieldhouse, A. Logan, H. Sharp and Councillors G. Mann and C. S. Robb.
Nominations received from local authorities are: for Lancashire, Cllr. A. W. Scholes and Ald. J. W. Geere; for Bury, Ald. W. Alker; for Oldham, Cllr, E. Leeks; for Stockport, Cllr. V. Tidswell: for Bolton Aid. H. Wood; for Rochdale, Ald. J. F. Grant: for Cheshire. Ald. J. Hollinsbeed; for Cheshire and Derbyshire, Cllr. S. Foden; and for Lancashire and the West Riding, Cllr. Mrs. C. Fitton.
This leaves nine still to be appointed.
