A new company, Ramp Rentals Ltd, has been formed to rent out container loading and unloading ramps.
Using these ramps, an unloading speed of 1 ton per minute is claimed for one man with a low-profile forklift truck.
Fork-lifts cannot fall off the ramps, owing to built-in curbs, and each ramp is built for a weight of 9140 kg (20,000 lb). The ramps can be towed around the loading area, or pushed by two men.
