Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A VEHICLE-LEASING scheme has .CIL been introduced by Leyland Motors Ltd. and is to be operated for Leyland and its U.K. distributors by the United Dominions Trust. Vehicles will be leased for a minimum period of three years, there is no cash deposit apart from the first monthly payment when the vehicle is delivered, and part-exchange credit can be given.

Specimen monthly rentals per £1,000 cost of a vehicle are: £31 2s. 3d. on a three-year agreement, £24 3s. 4d. for four

year and £20 for five-year agreements. The vehicles can be registered in the operator's name, who is also responsible for their maintenance and insurance. At the end of the lease the hirer has to return the vehicles to the U.D.T., which will sell them and refund the proceeds to the hirer, after deducting expenses and selling commission. If a customer wishes to lease for more than five years, U.D.T. will extend the lease at nominal annual rentals of between £15 and £25.
