THREE 10-vehicle applications are notified this week—two in Scotland and the third in the West Midlands. Each is in respect of a new A licence.

With a base at Motherwell, McKelvie and Co. Ltd., of Barrhead, seek 10 artics to carry metal goods over a wide radius. Aberdeen hauliers Inverdon Transport Co. Ltd. request a contract A switch, seeking to license 10 vehicles, with containers, for the carriage of frozen and other perishable goods nationally.

The third large application comes from Wheel Lane Garage Ltd., of Lichfield, who want 10 tippers to carry fuel and scrap metal for 12 named customers "as required ". This also is a contract A switch.
