RDERS for 260 buses to the value of over £500,000 have been received from India by Leyland Motors, Ltd. Sixty Titan double-deckers and 40 Worldmasters, all with Pneumo-Cyclic transmission, are to be added to the fleet of Bombay Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking, and Bombay State Transport is to acquire 60 Comet buses.
West Bengal State Transport is to take delivery of 25 Titan double-deckers and 75 Tiger single-deckers with vertical engines to operate in Calcutta.
All the 260 vehicles will be shipped for local assembly.
