DELIVERIES of Leyland vehicles in the first six Months of this year were 11 per cent. above the corresponding figure for 1949. In the first half of 1950, 300 more vehicles were supplied to the home market than during the first six months of 1949.
During the last few weeks before July I, delivery of goods vehicles to the home market was speeded up to help customers take possession before the purchase tax on chassis became operative. In the last week of June, 195 goods chassis were delivered to operators in Britain.
