• Two vehicles have been suspended from the eight. vehicle licence held by Ardrossan-based Robinson Fine Foods for one week by Scottish TC Michael Betts following breaches of the drivers' hours rules.
Licence suspended
• Breaches of the drivers' hours rules have led to the licence held by Munlochy, Ross-shire-based Robert Menzies being suspended for three days. Menzies appeared before Scottish TC Michael Betts at an Inverness disciplinary inquiry
Proceedings cancelled
• Disciplinary proceedings involving Liverpool.based Aaron Joseph were cancelled after he paid his licence renewal fee late, as a result of which his licence was automatically terminated.
Evidence required
• The licence held by Gorseinon, Swansea-based Robert Collis, trading as RM Collis Bulk Haulage, has been suspended until evidence of sufficient funding is produced. Collis had admitted to South Wales DTC Man Jenkins that he owed money to two companies in the area.
Residents object
• Opposition from the local authority and residents led to the refusal of a bid for a fourvehicle licence by Kieran Lucas Contracting, of Westcliff-OnSea. The company appeared at a Rayleigh public inquiry.
