Mather retiring • NFC chief executive Jack Mather is retiring on health grounds next month after 25 years with the group. Mather, 56, underwent major heart surgery three years ago. He will be replaced from 1 February by Peter Sherlock, 47, formerly on the board of drinks group Bass.
