Sainsbury to open PQM conference

The 1975 National Conference of the Centre for Physical Distribution Management will take place at the Heathrow Hotel, London Airport, on 5 and 6 March 1975. It will be opened by John Sainsbury, chairman of J. Sainsbury Ltd.
Speakers at the conference include Mr A. S. Crawford, group distribution director, United Biscuits Ltd, Professor M. G. Simpson, Professor of opera tional research, Lancaster University, Mr R. C.
Horsley, distribution director, Rank Radio International, Mr Gordon Brace, director of operations (West) Watney, Mann and Truman Brewers Ltd, Mr R. G. Bettesworth, group transport and distribution manager, Raleigh Industries Ltd, Mr R. G. Barrett, Distribution director, Berger Paints, Mr D. R. Hunter, head of central dis tribution department, Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd, Mr A. J. West, stock and planning manager, RHM Foods Ltd, Mr L. W. I,eppington, managing director, Freightliners Ltd, Sir George Middleton and Mr R. H. Philipson of British Road Federation, and Sir Leonard Neal, former chairman of the Commission on Industrial Relations.
Session chairman will be the Hon. John Sainsbury, Mr A. S. Crawford, Mr F. R. L. Wentworth, Mr D. R. Hunter and Sir Reginald Wilson. Guest speaker at the conference dinner will be Mr R. R. D. McIntosh, director general, NEDO.
