RE-AFFIRMATION of the Government's intention to carry out further nationalization of road haulage was given this week by Mr Fred Mulley, Minister for Transport.

In a commons written answer in reply to Mr Geoffrey Dodsworth (Conservative) who asked Mr Mulley for a statement on his policy, the Minister replied: "ft is Government policy to extend public ownership of road haulage".

Separate legislation is planned for the extention of nationalization in the industry but there is no time available for it in this Parliamentary session.
