-• Cook Contractors Ltd., of Galashiels, had one vehicle removed from its B licence for four months under Section 178 in Edinburgh on Monday. The company was appearing to show cause, following the issue of two immediate GV9s, one involving a vehicle which had broken down and then became involved in a serious accident.

Two vehicles which had been granted to the company under B licence had not been taken up, Mr. A. B. Birnie noted, and these would be considered separately from the present case.

Penalizing the company, Mr. Birnie saic that he had been nagging for four years during which time there had been some improvement in vehicle condition generally. Bu. he still had people appearing who admittec that maintenance was not satisfactory bu. would now be corrected. He instructed tha any further application by the company shoul( be brought to his personal notice.
