• Conciliation service ACAS has been asked to step into a dispute over wages between Lynx Express and the RMT union. The row escalated after the union rejected the company's 3.25% pay offer, which was accepted by the TGWU. A spokesman for the RMT says: "We are in discussion with ACAS and we are taking it one step at a time."

Lynx divisional managing director David Burtenshaw says the action "was supported by fewer than a dozen employees"
