THE University of London's extension courses in transport studies have been extended. The University extension certificate in transport studies provides a progressive and prescribed course.of study spread over three years and involving attendance on one night a week and an examination consisting of one three-hour paper IS set at the end of each year. The course is concerned with transport problems as a whole rather than with a detailed study of a particular type of transport.

During the first two years the course is designed to provide a basis in applied economics and economic geography with special reference to transport in Great Britain. In the third year, students will examine transport problems in greater depth. Application forms can be obtained from the Deputy Director (Extension), Department of Extra Mural Studies, University of London, Senate House, London, W.C.l. Anyone not wishing to take the examinations, but having an interest in any of the courses, can make application to attend a course. Non-certificate courses are also available.
