AIf you passed your test on a car before
you were 21, then on reaching this age, you merely have to return your licence to the appropriate authority to have the additional group added to it, allowing you to drive a heavy goods vehicle.
If, however, your original test was on a moped or motor cycle, then on reaching the age of 21 if you wish to drive a heavy goods vehicle you will be in the same position as having no licence at all, You will then have to pass a driving test for this class of vehicle prior to which, of course, you would need a provisional licence while learning to drive such a vehicle,
