Service manager Steve Hall has clocked up 40 years with Blackburn dealership Ciceley Commercials

CICELEY COMMERCIALS service manager Steve Hall has clocked up 40 years at the Blackburn dealership. He joined the then Seddon Atkinson dealer as an apprentice technician in 1972, aged 15. The company took on the MercedesBenz franchise the following year.
Today Hall manages a team of 24 factory-trained Mercedes-Benz technicians and apprentices, supported by 11 backroom staff. He has spent most of his career at Ciceley’s former dealership, on Ciceley Lane, Blackburn, which is now the head ofice.
For the past eight years he and his colleagues have been operating from a purpose-built lagship site just off J4 of the M65. “Not only is the workshop much bigger and better-equipped, but there’s also a lot more room here to park vehicles and a much more spacious and welcoming reception area,” he says.
Hall played a pivotal role in helping the dealership win the Mercedes-Benz and MT Commercial Vehicle Dealer of the Year titles in 2010. ■
