SCOTTISH AND NORTH EASTERN TRAFFIC AREAS

M&G Haulage

M&G HAULAGE has been given the go-ahead to base seven vehicles at the Brooks Building in Shepcote Lane, Shefield subject to the following undertakings: • in order to satisfy the inance requirements, the operator will submit evidence of inancial standing in six months’ time to the trafic area ofice; • maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by a reputable transport consultant or body in 12 months’ time. Audit reports will be prepared, acted upon and retained for at least two years. A copy of the report will be forwarded to the trafic area ofice within 14 days of its receipt together with the operator’s proposals for implementing its recommendations; • the operator will undertake a random audit of at least one driver per week to ensure the drivers are undertaking their walk-around checks correctly. The indings will be recorded and made available to staff from Vosa or the ofice of the trafic commissioner on request.

Elddis Transport

Elddis Transport wants to remove from its O-licence the Tetley GB site in St Andrews Way on the Heighington Lane Business Park in Newton Aycliffe. The company also wants to base 15 vehicles and 30 trailers at Stiller Warehousing and Distribution on the Aycliffe Business Park in Newton Aycliffe.

Asda

Asda has won approval to station 160 vehicles and 251 trailers at a new site on the Grangemouth Technology Park in Earls Road, Grangemouth.

Campbell and Sons Ardgay

Campbell and Sons Ardgay can park ive vehicles and six trailers at a site in West Syall, Ardgay.

Nightfreight (GB)

Nightfreight (GB) has been granted permission to base eight vehicles and two trailers at a site in White Rose Way in Follingsby Park, Gateshead. It can also base 15 vehicles and three trailers at a facility in Rockingham Way, Doncaster subject to a new undertaking: • authorised vehicles will not pass through the currently gated access onto Longlands Lane marked ‘X’ on the site plan, except in case of an emergency, which will be reported to the TC’s ofice within seven days with an explanation.
