• Lancashire Police want to speak to anyone who was driving in the Rufford area to the north-east of Orrnskirk on Friday 24 August between 03:00 and 06:00hrs. There was a fatal accident on Marshes Lane, Mere Brow, which is the road between Holmeswood and Mere Brow village — it is possible that a CV was involved and the driver may have been unaware of the accident, says the police.
