Manslaughter trial
• P&O European Ferries and seven former employees went on trial at the Old Bailey on Monday, facing manslaughter charges three years after the Herald of Free Enterprise capsized at Zeebrugge, killing 193 people. If found guilty, the individuals face maximum sentences of life imprisonment and P&O an unlimited fine.
