Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A BUYER is still awaited for Fodens, according to Cork Gully, its receiver, but the company says it is still very much alive and kicking.

Fodens general manager marketing, Richard Phillips, told CM that the company has fewer vehicles in stock than most of its

competitors, and it is still building 25 vehicles a week.

"Indeed, every rubber suspension Gardner-engined eight wheeler has been sold, and there is a strong demand for those with Rolls-Royce engines," he added.

He said that the newlyintroduced lightweight sixwheeler with Cummins' VT504 engine is also selling well.

Such has been the effect of cost pruning at Sandbach that production costs on one range of vehicles have been reduced by Elm, and Mr Phillips said he is confident that this will help guide the company into prosperous new hands.
