A NEW joint sales and service organi
zation to market a combined range of commercial vehicles in seven European countries has been established by an agreement just completed between Rootes Motors Ltd. and Henschel Werke A.G. of Kassel.
The agreement will mean the joint marketing of Henschel and Commer and Karrier commercial vehicles (excluding light vehicles) in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Austria. Sales will be largely through the existing local Henschel outlets but there will be close liaison between the two companies on all aspects of marketing policy.
The Commcr and Karrier vehicles covered by the agreement include load carriers with capacities from 11 to 8 tons and 10to 12-ton tractive units. The Henschel range extends from a 7-tanner up to a 20-ton-capacity vehicle.
