Within an hour of us emailing our request, the Altrincham-based trailer maker and bodybuilder provided this reply. “Cartwright Trailers uses a number of the aerodynamic features developed on its ‘Cheetah’ range on its standard curtainsider.” These include: ● a front air deflector (Cheetah S), priced at £420; ● rear air roof defuser ‘scoop’, priced at £180;, ● aerodynamic side-guards, priced at £1,300.
The group says these are its most popular choices, but adds: “Another option [to reduce drag] would be our buckle-less curtains. The air-operated buckle-less curtains clean up the curtain sides and are priced at £1,900. All the items can be retrofitted.”
