Mr. Harold Nockolds has been appointed managing director of Temple Press Ltd., publishers of Motor/Commercial Motor/Motor Boat and Yachting! Aeroplane/The Surveyor/Freight Management. Mr. Paul Jennens, who was previously managing director as well as chairman, continues as chairman of Temple Press and several other companies in the Iliffe/NTP International division of the International Publishing Corporation Ltd.
After serving on The Times for 14 years as motoring correspondent and editor, special supplements, Mr. Nockolds joined Temple Press in 1960 as editor of Motor. He was promoted to the board in 1964 as editorial director and became deputy managing director earlier this year.
Mr. R. Bensted-Smith, editorial director of Commercial Motor, has been appointed to the board of Temple Press as editorial director of the company. Mr. J. A. Tunstall, previously a managing editor with special responsibilities for Freight Management, is appointed to the board as director, research and development.
Mr. C. J. French becomes deputy advertisement director and Mr. A. V. Clifford, deputy editorial director.
